It all began in 1996 while hauling for the world in cutting horse competition. There I was, stranded in the middle of the night, in the dead of winter, with five horses and a five-year-old child. After a very long, cold night, a few bus trips, and the help of some good Samaritans, two days later we were back on the road.
After losing entry fees and lost time and money traveling, I thought there had to be a better way. But there wasn't, and so began Trailguard. And here we are, nearly twenty years later. Trailguard was founded by and is operated by people who understand towing, hauling, and livestock. We understand the complexity and urgency of every situation that arises. Most Roadside Assistance programs either exclude trailers—and especially livestock—or are handled by contracted call centers who have no idea of the challenges faced when being stranded with trailers—and especially livestock.
At Trailguard, we handle all calls in-house with highly trained professionals. We understand your unique challenges and work as a team to address all of these challenges simultaneously, not one-by-one. This eases your burden and drastically reduces response times and the emotional and financial tolls emergencies bring with them.
Trailguard did not come together over night. We spent many years researching different situations and developing and improving our methodology while growing and training a team who treat their jobs as a passion. Our team understands your needs and concerns and enjoys the opportunity to help alleviate the struggle of your most intense moments of your travels.
We are proud to call our company Trailguard and we take absolute pride in guarding our members down life's trails.
