It all began in 1995, while I was hauling for the World in Cutting Horse competition. My truck had broken down leaving me stranded in the middle of the night, in the dead of winter, with five horses and a five-year-old child. There weren’t any Roadside Assistance programs that supported a trailer, let alone livestock. After a very long, cold night, a few bus trips, and the help of some good samaritans, two days later we were back on the road and missed the competition.

After losing entry fees, time and money spent traveling, I thought there had to be a better way. There were no services for larger utility vehicles or trailers, so I began Trailguard. Now nearly 20 years later, the vision I had has helped companies, individuals and families across the nation.

Our Standards

Trailguard is fully operated by people who understand towing, hauling, and livestock. We understand the complexity and urgency of every situation that arises. Most Roadside Assistance programs either exclude trailers—and especially livestock—or are handled by contracted call centers who have no idea of the challenges faced when being stranded with trailers—and especially livestock.

We have spent many years researching different situations, developing fast-paced solutions and improving our methodology, while growing and training a team who treat their jobs as a passion. Our team understands your needs and concerns and are passionate about alleviating the struggle of the most intense and stressful moments of your travels.

At Trailguard, we handle all calls in-house with highly trained professionals. We understand your unique challenges and work as a team to address all of these challenges simultaneously, not one-by-one. This eases your burden and drastically reduces response times and the emotional and financial tolls emergencies bring with them.

We are proud to call our company Trailguard and we take absolute pride in guarding our members down life’s trails.
